Peter Boardman has been making violins for most of his life, and recently his son Rory has joined him in the workshop to learn his craft. Based just outside of Donaghadee, the pair use their passion, their patience and their eye for the perfect piece of wood, to create instruments that sound as rich and as beautiful as those of the old masters.

In this episode we will see a violin come together froom start to finish and hear a traditional Ulster-Scots tune from Rory.
